02  The philosophy

The mouth is not separate
from the body.

Every material we place, every tooth we keep, every implant we choose is decided with one question first: how does it serve your overall health? That is what biological dentistry means here.

03  What guides us

A calmer, more considered kind of dentistry.

We combine modern 3D diagnostics and precise, minimally invasive technique with a simple principle: preserve what is healthy, replace only what must be replaced, and never with materials your body has to fight.

  • Metal-free, biocompatible materials throughout - ceramic implants, full-ceramic restorations.
  • Tooth-preserving, minimally invasive treatment wherever it is possible.
  • Careful, protocol-based amalgam removal for sensitive patients.
  • 3D / CBCT imaging for precise, low-radiation diagnostics.

10  The dentist

Dmitri Klass

Dmitri Klass has built his practice around a conviction that dental health and whole-body health are inseparable. His work brings together modern ceramic implant technology, precise 3D diagnostics and the principles of biological medicine.

Treatment is planned around the individual - never a template - and always with biocompatible, metal-free materials. International and English-speaking patients are warmly welcomed.

11  From our journal

Which tooth, which organ? Reading the meridian chart.

A traditional idea sits behind much of biological dentistry: that each tooth is linked, along the body’s meridians, to particular organs and tissues. Our flagship guide maps that tooth-organ chart in plain English - where the picture comes from, what it does and doesn’t claim, and how we let it inform, never replace, careful clinical diagnosis.

14  Questions

Good to know before you come.

Yes. The practice welcomes English-speaking and international patients, and consultations and treatment can be carried out in English. We are based at Hauptstraße 50 in Bad Schwartau, a short distance from Lübeck.

Biological dentistry considers how dental materials and procedures affect your whole body, not just the tooth in front of us. In practice that means metal-free, biocompatible materials, tooth-preserving technique, careful amalgam removal and precise 3D diagnostics.

Yes. We work with ceramic (zirconia) implants rather than titanium. They are strong, integrate well with bone and tissue, and avoid the grey shimmer and metal exposure some patients prefer to avoid.

Use the request form below or email info@ganzheitlicher-zahnarzt.de. Tell us a little about your situation and the treatment you are interested in, and we will get back to you personally.

15  International patients

Metal-free dentistry, a short journey from Scandinavia.

Patients from Denmark, Sweden, Norway and Finland travel to Bad Schwartau for biological, metal-free care - treated in English, from the first message to aftercare. Lübeck sits close to direct flights and the Scandlines ferry, so the trip is shorter than most expect.

As an EU cross-border patient, you may in some cases be able to seek partial reimbursement of dental treatment received here through your home country's health system under the EU Patients' Rights Directive (2011/24/EU). Rules and rates differ by country, so please check the details with your own insurer in advance. We are happy to provide the documentation you need - see our international patients page for how it works.
